HBA National Hospital Radio Awards 2007

 

For the second time BRIDGEfm entered the HBA National Hospital Radio Awards. Entries were collated and produced by Joe Brodie with Kim Rennie.

 

Once again our sports team were shortlisted for an award in the "sports output" category.

 

The Awards Ceremony took place on Saturday 31 March 2007 at The Park Inn in Northampton.

Hospital Broadcasting Association logo

 

 

The Hospital Broadcasting Association is the national charity that supports and promotes Hospital Broadcasting in the UK.

 

 

The HBA is managed by a committee elected from its membership and is staffed entirely by volunteers. As well as promoting Hospital Broadcasting and representing its members, the HBA offers its members a variety of services as well as professional advice.

 

 

Nearly 300 individual broadcasting stations have joined the Association, representing around 10,000 volunteers. Patients in over 90% of the UK's hospitals benefit from programmes designed to make life better for patients in hospital and aid their recovery.

HBA National Hospital Radio Awards 2006

 

Awards - two silver and three commended.For the first time since BRIDGEfm was established in 2001 we entered the HBA National Hospital Radio Awards in 2006. Entries were collated and produced by Joe Brodie, who also oversaw the specialist entries.

 

Scott Young and Donald Lamont represented the station at the Awards Ceremony on Saturday 1 April 2006 at the Hilton Hotel in Blackpool where we won two silver awards and three commended awards.

We have been designated a Cool Site in the Netscape Open Directory Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Arts_and_Entertainment/Radio/Hospital.On 8 September 2005 the BRIDGEfm website, designed and maintained by Honorary member Gordon Low, was designated a "Cool Site" in the Netscape Open Directory.
